There are three common materials for screws

The use of materials is also very important for non-standard screw, and the custom screw materials that may be used in different applications are different, such as the performance standards of different materials, etc., according to the currentmarket screw manufactur mainly include carbon steel, stainless steel, copper three materials.

1.Why choose carbon steel, stainless steel, copper?
Carbon steel: We distinguish between low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel, and alloy steel by the amount of carbon in carbon steel.
(1)Low carbon steel C%≤0.25% is commonly known as A3 steel in China. Foreign countries are basically called 1008, 1015, 1018, 1022, etc. It is mainly used for products without hardness requirements such as 4.8 grade bolts, 4 grade nuts and small screws. (Note: 1022 material is mainly used for drill nails.)
(2)Medium carbon steel 0.25%<C%≤0.45% It is usually called No. 35 and No. 45 steel in China, and 1035, CH38F, 1039, 40ACR and so on abroad. It is mainly used for grade 8 nuts, grade 8.8 bolts and grade 8.8 hexagon products.
(3)High-carbon steel C%>0.45%. At present, it is basically not used in the market
(4)Alloy steel: adding alloying elements to ordinary carbon steel to increase some special properties of steel: such as 35, 40 chromium molybdenum, SCM435, 10B38. Panvo screws mainly use SCM435 chrome alloy steel, and the main components are C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, and Mo.
Carbon steel screw has high strength and hardness, good wear resistance, strong plasticity, and relatively low manufacturing cost. These properties make carbon steel an ideal material for the manufacture of standard parts.

Stainless steel: performance grade: 45, 50, 60, 70, 80
The main components are austenite (18%Cr, 8%Ni), which has good heat resistance, good corrosion resistance and good weldability. A1, A2, A4 martensitic and 13%Cr have poor corrosion resistance, high strength and good wear resistance. C1, C2, C4 ferritic stainless steel. 18%Cr upsetting is better, and the corrosion resistance is stronger than that of martensite. At present, the imported materials in the market are mainly Japan products. According to the level, it is mainly divided into SUS302, SUS304, and SUS316.
Stainless steel screw has excellent corrosion resistance, can be kept in good condition for a long time in harsh environments, and is not easy to rust. In addition, stainless steel has the characteristics of high strength, good aesthetics, and easy processing.
Copper: The commonly used material is brass... Zinc-copper alloy. H62, H65 and H68 copper are mainly used as standard parts in the market.
Copper screw has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and processing properties, and can be welded and brazed. These properties make copper useful in power transmission, motors

2 What is the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel?
Stainless steel and carbon steel are also steel materials, and many people don't know what the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel will be.
What is the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel? Depending on the purpose and performance effect, there are usually the following differences:
(1) Stainless steel has poor thermal conductivity and low elongation due to its poor thermal conductivity and elongation, so the required deformation force is large;
(2) Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel plate has a strong tendency to rebound when bending;
(3) Compared with carbon steel, due to the low elongation of stainless steel plate, the bending angle R of the workpiece should be greater than that of carbon steel when bending, otherwise there is a possibility of cracks;
(4) Due to the high hardness of stainless steel plate and the significant effect of cold work hardening, when selecting compression bending tools, tool steel with heat treatment hardness of more than 60HRC should be selected, and its surface roughness should be required
